形容詞

1. 用來修飾或描述名詞

• a hand­some boy
• a pret­ty skirt
• They are happy.
• He is tall.

be動詞之後、名詞之前

和very, too, so等副詞合作

1. very (very+adj.)

• Emi­ly is very friend­ly. She is a very beau­ti­ful girl.

2. too (too+adj.)

• He is too short.

Too…to…. 太…以至於不能…

• He is too young to go to school.
• She is too old to drive.
• Ana is too short to play basketball.

3. so (so+adj.+a/an+n.)

         =such a/an+adj.+n.

• It is so beau­ti­ful a house.
• =It is such a beau­ti­ful house.
• She is so pret­ty a girl.
• ＝She is such a pret­ty girl.
